Teaching Canadians to Invest Wisely
Since 2019, we've helped thousands of Canadians build confidence in their financial futures through practical, no-nonsense investment education. Our approach focuses on real understanding rather than quick promises.

Our Story: Six Years of Growth
What started as a small workshop in Kingston has grown into Canada's most trusted investment education platform. Here's how we got here.
The Beginning
Torben Kjellberg left his role as a portfolio analyst to address a gap he saw daily — Canadians wanted to invest but felt overwhelmed by conflicting advice. The first workshop attracted 12 people in a Kingston community center.
Going Digital
The pandemic pushed us online, but it opened doors we never expected. Our virtual programs reached Canadians from coast to coast. By year-end, we had served over 800 learners across all provinces.
Team Expansion
Cormac O'Sullivan joined as our Investment Education Specialist, bringing fresh perspectives on how people actually learn financial concepts. Together, we redesigned our entire curriculum from the ground up.
Recognition & Growth
Our alumni network reached 3,500 Canadians. More importantly, we started seeing real results — graduates making informed investment decisions and building wealth systematically rather than chasing trends.
Looking Forward
This year, we're launching specialized programs for different life stages — from new graduates to pre-retirees. Our goal remains the same: helping Canadians make investment decisions with confidence and clarity.
What Guides Our Teaching
Education Over Sales
We don't sell investment products. We teach principles. Our revenue comes from education, so our incentives align perfectly with your learning.
Practical Application
Every concept we teach connects to real Canadian investment scenarios. You'll work with TSX examples, TFSA strategies, and RRSP optimization.
Long-term Thinking
We emphasize patience and discipline over quick gains. Our graduates build wealth steadily rather than chasing market fads.
These aren't just words on our website. In 2024, we surveyed our alumni and found that 89% still follow the investment principles they learned in our programs. That's what happens when education focuses on understanding rather than memorization.
Our approach works because it's designed around how adults actually learn complex financial concepts — through practice, repetition, and real-world application.

Meet Your Instructors
We keep our team small intentionally. Every person who teaches in our programs has extensive real-world investment experience and a genuine passion for education.
Torben Kjellberg
Spent 12 years as a portfolio analyst before founding Gredyne. Torben witnessed too many Canadians making investment mistakes due to poor education. He designed our curriculum based on the gaps he saw in traditional financial advice. Outside of work, he's an avid canoeist who applies the same patience to paddling as he does to investing.
Cormac O'Sullivan
Creates all our learning materials and leads program development. Cormac has a talent for explaining complex investment concepts in ways that actually stick. Before joining Gredyne, he managed training programs for a major Canadian bank. He's particularly good at helping people overcome the anxiety that often comes with making financial decisions.
